Sutton United Supporters’ Trust began life on the 16th March 2006 with an open meeting held in the Times Square Lounge at Sutton United FC, when the assembled supporters’ voted unanimously to form a Supporters’ Trust at the club. An initial working party then set about taking the trust to it’s full formation and launch, which took place on Sunday 27th August 2006.

The aims of the Trust are primarily:
1) To acquire shares in SUFC Ltd in the name of the Trust
2) To provide a democratic voice for supporters in the running of SUFC
3) To promote SUFC within the local and surrounding communities
4) To consolidate existing fundraising opportunities with new ideas in an attempt to attract extra funds into SUFC
Following the launch which saw over 1000 people attending an open day at the football club, SUST has gone from strength to strength and has stuck closely to its founding principles. So far, our achievements include:
Taking a 2% shareholding in Sutton United Football Club Ltd via two separate purchases of shares (Jan 2007 & April 2008).
Gaining a seat on the Football Club board for a Supporters Representative (Jan 2010)
Placed a representative on the Football Club’s Management Committee, helping where possible with the day to day issues of running SUFC (Sept 2007).
Forged closer links with our Junior\Colts section, as well as other youth footballing organisations (local little leagues etc).
Worked closely in partnership with SUFC to enable the club to achieve FA Community Status.
Helped drive an ongoing ground development plan to not only improve facilities at SUFC, but also to enable a vital leisure provision is provided to the local community.
Operate & run refreshment facilities on matchdays, the profits of which are re-invested in community & club initiatives.
Assisted & funded ground maintenance schemes.
Our work continues today as we strive to ensure Sutton United Football Club becomes a central player in it's local community.
Sutton United Supporters’ Society Ltd (the Trust) is registered as an Industrial and Provident Society, registered number 30110R with the Financial Services Authority.
