Roses Tea Hut is a big part of the landscape at Gander Green Lane, having been staffed by the eponymous Rose Ford and her team for well over 50 years. The current facility replaced Rose’s original wooden pavilion some 10 years ago when it was finally deemed too old and too wooden for requirements!

Our matchday refreshments facility has gone from strength to strength since it was re-opened by SUST in 2007. Staffed by a small, but dedicated band of volunteers, Jenny & Heather (or maybe one of the other girls!) will ensure you’re kept warm with a nice hot cup of tea or Bovril on those chilly winter afternoons at Gander Green Lane.
Rose’s specialises in simple, well prepared traditional football fare at reasonable prices. Also, keep an eye out for our Seasonal specials, such as Hot Cross Buns at Easter and Mince Pies at Xmas. Oh and ice lollies for those seemingly all too rare days when the sun shines!

All profits from the
tea hut are put back into the running & maintaining this facility, as well as
assisting with funding club & community initiatives run by SUST. Currently
£250 per month from the profits of this facility are directly donated towards
the Football Club’s ongoing Football Development Plan.
